CALIFORNIA TRIP

Ryan was at a seminar in California and we decided to meet up with him in San Diego for a little family vacation. We had a great time. We stayed with our Aunt Jamie and Uncle Tum, which the first day Mikey and Brooke couldn't help but call them Tom and Jerry. Too many cartoons. Anyhow we got to visit with them as well as Ryan's grandfather and grandma, and my sister Ann and her family. Grandpa Corkum has a swimming pool so the kids spent some time swimming. They were busting at the seems the minute we arrived. Nothing like having a pool in your backyard surrounded by grapefruit, limes and lemon trees. Pretty cool. Grandpa Corkum did however school Ryan and I each at ping pong. 93 and still strutting his stuff. We then headed to Ann and Brian's. We saw Brian's hawks that he is training, one of their chickens hypnotized, and Karrin let the kids ride her horse. We also got to see their new colt. It was a lot of fun. We spent the last 2 days of our break at Sea World and Disneyland. The kids were at the perfect age for those parks. They absolutely loved the sea animals. There were 4 whales that performed which was so super cool. Then they got to watch the dolphin show as well as feed them some sardines. I forget how fun Sea World is. Then Disneyland was fun. Brooklyn spent some time with the princesses and her and Tyler went on quiet a few rides together with me and their aunt Jamie and great grandma Janeway. Mikey and Ryan went on all the scarier rides together. I must say the highlight of Disneyland was going to the Jedi Training Program and having Mikey be picked to train with the Jedi's. He was in heaven. He then at the end got to fight Darth Mal. He and his dad also built their own light sabers. We bought one for Tyler and the two of them love fighting each other. Brooklyn tries to get in on the action as well. We ended the night at the parade. They loved seeing all the Disney characters. It captivated all of them. It definitely was a really fun trip. We had a great mixture of spending time with family and playing at the parks. We had a hard time leaving Tum and Jamie. They are always so good to us and the kids just adore them.
